Short version: ReSeeder collects no personal data, sends no telemetry and contains no ads.
1. What the app does with your files
ReSeeder runs locally on your computer and interacts only with folders you've explicitly added (media library, folder with .torrent files). File content is never sent to our servers.
2. What data goes outside
- Torrent trackers and peers — standard BitTorrent traffic while seeding: IP address, port, seeding statistics. This is a property of the protocol and is required for seeding to work.
- "Remote match with tracker" feature (Beta) — sends only file signatures (size, fragment hash) to the tracker. Neither the files themselves nor full paths are sent. Only used when the user explicitly triggers it.
- "Bulk download from tracker" feature (Beta) — queries the tracker's API on your behalf to fetch your release list. Authorization uses your own credentials on the tracker.
3. Telemetry and analytics
The app does not collect usage statistics, does not send crash reports to external servers, and uses no analytics SDKs. All logs are stored locally only.
4. Update checks
On startup the app may check for a new version by contacting the update server. Only the current version number is sent. This check can be disabled in settings.
5. Cookies and the website
reseeder.app uses no tracking cookies, no advertising scripts and no third-party analytics. Only one technical storage entry is used (localStorage) to remember your language preference.
6. Tracker credentials
If you use the tracker-authorization features, credentials (login/password/session cookies) are stored locally in encrypted form on your computer and are not transferred to third parties.
7. Your rights
You can delete the app along with all its data at any time — no files remain on any server because we don't collect any.
